 BATTLE OF MANILA

*After WWII, Overhead view of the temporary reconstruction of Jones Bridge

THEN AND NOW
Location: Jones Bridge along Quintin Paredes Rd., Binondo Manila
Wayback 1946

DID YOU KNOW?!
*The Jones bridge was designed by Juan Arellano (He was also responsible for designing the Manila Post Office, The Legislature Building and Metropolitan Theater)
*It was started in 1916 and finished in 1921
*During WWII, The Jones bridge was also damaged in 1945
*The bridge was reconstructed after the WWII through the Philippine Rehabilitation act of 1946
*The original beauty of this marvellous structure was abandoned for a more practical yet completely unaesthetic design
