*It was built in 1927 by Don Andres Luna de San Pedro (the son of the master painter Juan Luna)
*Paciano Rizal (1851-1930) was a filipino general and revolutionary and the older brother of Dr. Jose Rizal 
*Paciano was first officer to surrender to the american after the filipino-american war
*After the Filipino-American war, Paciano built a nipa hut in Los Baños and resumed his career as a farmer but when nipa hut was destroyed by a typhoon in 1926
*After the restoration of the house in 1927, he quitly lived here house until his death in 1930
*The house was turned into a garrison during the Japanese occasion that is why much of Paciano’s personal effects were lost 
*while 90% percent of the house is original its contents have been recently acquired 
*Today, the Paciano house is a heritage shrine and a living museum

*Casa Nicolasa was built during the Spanish Colonial period by Gobernadorcillo Saturnino Henson y David 1882-1883 and 1896 (who also served as San Fernando’s first municipal treasurer from 1900-1902)
*The house It was sold to Pablo Panlilio y Dayrit and Dolores Arguelles
*It was in this structure that their daughter Nicholasa Dayrit Panlilio helped treat wounded filipino soldiers during the Filipino-American war, thus the name Casa Nicolosa
*Doña Nicolasa Dayrit was also instrumental in the truce between General Antonio Luna and Tomas Mascardo
*It is the first “Bahay na Bato” to built in San Fernando Pampanga and declared a heritage house by the National Historical Institute in January 27, 2003

*The Dominican Hill Retreat House, also commonly known as the Diplomat Hotel
*In 1911, Domican priest made plan for the construction of a vacation house for them
*It was started construction in 1913 and inaugurated in May 1915
*It was designed by Fr. Roque Ruaño (the same architect of the main building of the current campus of the University of Santo Tomas UST)
*It also used to a school named Colegio Del Santissimo Rosario (1915-1918)
*Historically, Dominican hotel was the first building ever built in the city of Baguio
*During WWII, Japanese Forces invaded the property and turned it into their Hedquarters
*It was occupied by the fleeing refugees from the Japanese anrmy forces
*American Forces bombed the place and partially hit right wings of the building while japanese forces committed suicide
*Between 1945-1947, the building underwent restoration
*The Diplomat hotel Inc., acquired ownership of the property in 1973 and the hotel was managed by Antonio Agapito (he died in 1987 of the ailments) And since his death the hotel ceased operations and was abandoned
*It is one of the most hunted abandoned hotels in the world
*It is now undergoing rehabilitation through the efforts of the city government
*In April 5, 2005, the Diplomat hotel property was conveyed to City Government of Baguio
*In 2013, The entire property was declared as a National Historical site by NHCP
*The whole property on which it stands has been renamed as the Dominican Heritage Hill and Nature Park
*Today, the place is a favorite spot for photography, film making, and one of popularly tourist attraction in baguio

*It was rebuilt and razed again during the Philippine Revolution of 1898
*The church was dedicated in honor of St. Martin Tours and is a diocesan shrine in honor of holy cross more popularly known as “Krus ng Wawa” to local devotees
*The church has been rebuilt and restored times since then

*The Laperal Guesthouse popularly known as “Laperal White House” (which houses a museum)
*The house was built by Robert Laperal in the 1920’s
*The house is made of narra and halal wood designed in victorian style
*The clan heads, Robert and Victorina Laperal made the house as their vacation home
*During WWII, the house was occupied by Japanese soldiers and was used as a garrison
*The house transferred ownership after the death of the head of the Laperal clan
*It was adequately maintained but despite being closed to the public over the years
*The house withstood many natural and man made casualities such as the deadly earthquake in 1990
*Lucio Tan purchased the property in 2007 (but never stayed in the place during some of his trips to baguio)
*He instead had it renovated and refurbished with proper maintenance then made it into a tourist attraction
*In 2013, the Tycoon’s Tan Yan Kee Foundation transformed the house to a Bamboo Foundation museum where filipino artworks based on bamboo and wood
*According to believers, the house is Haunted
*the 2010 horror movie White House featured the house

*The Nuestra Señora del Patrocinio de Maria Parish Church (commonly known as Boljoon Church)
*It is a Roman Catholic Church dedicated to the Our Lady of Patrocinio
*It originally served as watchtower for possible Moro Raids
*It was elevated to a parish on October 31, 1690
*The present church of Boljoon was built by Augustinian priest Fr. Ambrosio Otero in 1783
*Construction of the church was continue by Fr. Manuel Cordero in 1794 and completed by Fr. Julián Bermejo in 1841
*The three gates and the walls of the church are made of coral stones and were constructed from 1802 to 1808 under the auspices of father Bermejo
*The church was later restored by Fr. Leandro Morán (last Augustinian priest of Boljoon) who served from 1920 to 1948
*In 2007, Restoration work was performed through the Boljoon Heritage Foundation with funding from the Cebu Provincial Government
*It has been declared a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum of the Philippines 2001 and a National Historical Landmark by the NHCP in 1999
*It is also under consideration for the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Philippines as a member of the Baroque Churches of the Philippines

*It is now serves as meeting place for the parish’s various religious groups
*Today, Escuela Catolica is one of the heritage structures in Boljoon and one of of the tourist spot in Cebu City

* The Minor Basilica and Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception also known as MANILA CATHEDRAL 
* It's a church that was built to last. The first church 1571 made of nipa and bamboo was ravaged by fire in 1583. 
* The cathedral was originally a parish church in Manila under the Archdiocese of Mexico in 1571
*The seven reincarnations were all damaged by typhoons, demolitions and periodical earthquakes. 
*Spanish conquistador Miguel López de Legazpi chose the location of the church and placed it under the patronage of Santa Potenciana. The first parish priest of the church was Fray Juan de Villanueva.
*However, it was during the Battle of Manila (1945) that the whole structure was totally destroyed.
*The present incarnation of the cathedral was constructed from 1954 to 1958 under Most Rev. Rufino J. Cardinal Santos, DD and under the supervision of the notable Filipino architect Fernando H. Ocampo
*However, Msgr. Nestor Cerbo stated that the cathedral would finish its renovations in March 25, 2014
*Some added features and changes include the installation of CCTV cameras, large flat screen television screens improved audio-video systems, and improved interior and exterior LED lightings

*It built from 1591-1594, it was renovated to join the walls of intramuros by Architect Fr. Antonio Sedeño
*Baluarte de san diego is one of the oldest forts inside intramuros 
*It was a circular fort at the time called Nuestra Señora de Guia (Our lady of Guidance) 
*It was built primarily to defend this area from invasion 
*The Baluarte was breached and fell the british forces in 1762
*It was restored after the occupation only to fall again in 1863 due to earthquake 
*In 1945, it was destroyed once more from the Battle of Manila 
*Latest restoration work of the fort completed in 1992 by Intramuros Administration and the National Museum

*La Madre Filipina sculpture design by Ramon Martinez in 1911
*Juan Arellano (who was designed a new bridge Jones Bridge to replace the bridge of spain and he was also responsible for designing the Manila Post Office the Legislature Building and Metropolitan Theater)
assigned the task of creating the statues to a sculptor named Martinez 
*The result of which is a fort piece set of sculptures titled La Madre Filipina 
*La Madre Filipina , means the filipina mother whose traits and values are being enrolled and immortalized in each of these sculptures 
*During The Battle of Manila, One of the four statues to be devastated as well in the process 
*The three of these sculptures on the bridge were removed when the Jones bridge was rebuilt after the WWII 
*One of sculpture was moved first to intramuros before it was relocated to a more permanent spot in Luneta 
*Today, La Madre Filipina sculpture was later moved to the Luneta (Rizal Park) close to the Rizal Monument and the other two now stand in front of the Court of Appeals

*Quinta market and Divisoria market was built by businessman and philanthropist Francisco de Carriedo y Peredo in the 18th century 
*Quinta Market was immortalised in the market’s name, which translates to “Country Villa” in Spanish 
*Quinta Market was the most spacious public market in manila 
*The original market however was shoddily built and it was heavily damaged by earthquake in 1863 and rebuilt in 1878
*During American Colonization, the market reconstruction of a new steel market building and reopened to the public on October 21, 1901
*On April 17 2017, Mayor Estrada’s 80th birthday, the Php 150 million Quinta Market and Fishfort was inaugurated and reopened to the public (The 5th market to be renovated under the city’s market renovation program)
*Today, Quinta market, Also known Quiapo Market and officially called the Quinta Market and Fishfort since 2017

*Luneta Hotel is a historical hotel in Manila
*It was built in 1919 and Designed by Spanish Architect Salvador Farre
*The hotel became the site of European imports that were distributed to Manila
*The hotel structure is the only remaining example of French Renaissance Architecture with Filipino Stylized Beaux arts in the Philippines to date
*It is one of the remaining structures that survived the Liberation of Manila in 1945
*During WWII., the luneta hotel became a brothel of American G.I.s who were off to Corregidor after Manila had been declared an open city
*After being closed and abandoned in 1987
*The hotel was relaunched and restored in May 2014 with the installation of a historical marker by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP)

*Gov. Reynold’s Bridge which honor of Governor Charles A. Reynolds who became the 5th Governor of Albay 
*Governor Reynold’s Bridge was inaugurated in 1911 and is composed of two reinforced archers spans 
*when built it cost the American colonial government 40,000 Php
*The Bridge replaced an earlier span bum during Spanish colonial period in 1860 which itself was subsequently destroyed by a powerful earthquake in 1864 
*The Bridge was designed with two reinforced concrete arch spans supporting concrete piers holding the road deck 
*This design was utilized by the American engineers for many similar spans found throughout the country 
*Today, Governor Reynold’s Bridge is a popular known “BANAO BRIDGE” still facilities all forms of road traffic almost a hundred years since it was inaugurated

*Before WWII., Barretto is known as Sitio Maquinaya (headed by then municipal mayor Ruben Geronimo for the creation of Sitio Maquinaya into a full Barrio)
*In 1945, It was utilized by the U.S Naval Base as their naval suplay depot 
*When the U.S Government turned over the area to the Philippine Government, people begin to migrate in the area, most notable of which were the first 60 families from the nearby barangay who were ejected from their land 
*In July 5, 196I, The municipal of Olongapo and duly approved by the Zambales provincial Board - Barretto was constituted as a regular Barrio (The Making of Olongapo, Cabatit)
*And the Barangay was named in honor of then Zambales Governor Manuel Barretto (1955-1967)
*Barrio Barretto is now the premier tourist and recreation slot in Olongapo City

*The Pamintuan Mansion was built in 1880’s by Don Florentino Torres Pamintuan and Valentina Torres (Who live in 1868-1925) who later became the Mayor of Angeles under the American rule
*The Mansion in 1899, it served as the headquarters of Gen. Antonio Luna and the seat of the philippine republic
*In June 12, 1899 Aguinaldo also led the celebration of the first anniversary of Philippine Independence and waved the Philippine flag from the second-floor balcony of the mansion
*By November 1899, Gen. Arthur MacArthur used the mansion as his Headquarters
*The historic house changed its ownership several times since 1899
*In WWII., the mansion was occupied by Japanese Kamikaze suicide pilots before it was turned into a clubhouse of the United Services Organization Inc.in 1946
*In 1959,The building likewise served as the town’s municipal hall of angeles until 1964.
*Later the property was procured by the Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in 1981
*It was recently transferred to the NHCP as the Museum on June 17, 2010

*Colon Street is a historical street in downtown Cebu City
*Colon Street It called the Oldest Street in the Philippines and the shortest National Road in the Philippines
*It is named after Cristóbal Colón (Christopher Columbus)
*It traces its origins to the town plan by Miguel Lopez de Legazpi the Spanish Conquistador who arrived in the Philippines to establish a colony in 1565
*Colon Street was owned by the family name Fronteras
*It was once the heart of Cebu City’s shopping and business activity but in recent years (specifically during the early 90’s) much of this activity has shifted in land to the more modern
*Now spread in almost all of the urban areas of the city in what was considered residential and leisure settlements
*In 2006 the cebu city council proposed a plan to close parts of colon street from vehicular traffic and convert it to a tourism zone
