*San Agustin church it is the first European Stone church to be built in the Philippines designed in Spanish Architecture Structure
*San Agustin Church the only building left intact after the destruction of intramuros during the Battle of Manila in 1945
*During WWII, The Imperial Japanese Troops ordered Intramuros residents to leave their houses and held them hostage inside San Agustin Church
*Some of the hostages were later killed at The Palacio Del Gobernador in Intramuros while some were liberated by filipino and American forces on February 25, 1945
